Hyda Electrolytes contains no stevia, sugar, or any unhealthy, gut disrupting additives. It is also made with magnesium glycinate, which is the most gentle on your stomach form of magnesium.
With a similar mineral content and taste to naturally occurring sparkling mineral water, only with minerals in ratios optimised for hydration + citric acid.
What are electrolytes?
Electrolytes are minerals that conduct electricity when dissolved in water, and are essential for several body functions, especially hydration.
Hyda Electrolytes contains:
Pink Himalayan Salt (Sodium Chloride) –
The most important electrolyte and main electrolyte lost through sweat, diarrhoea, and alcohol use. Salt is essential for your body to hold water in your cells, without enough of it water just passes right through you and you can’t hydrate effectively.
Potassium Chloride –
Helps pull water into your cells, a lack potassium can leave you feeling unusually thirsty and needing to pee frequently, bloated, cramped, and fatigued.
Magnesium Glycinate –
Magnesium makes sodium and potassium better at hydrating your cells, and helps your cells convert that hydration into energy.
Magnesium glycinate also helps relax muscles, improve sleep, reduces stress and pain, and is the most gentle on your stomach form of magnesium.
Citric Acid –
Helps your body absorb magnesium and potassium, helps your body turn electrolytes into energy, and adds a zesty flavour.
Sodium Bicarbonate –
When you mix sodium bicarbonate with citric acid and add water, it causes a chemical reaction that makes the water fizzy. This is a temporary chemical reaction so to get maximum fizz, drink immediately after mixing with water while the reaction is still going off. Avoid letting any water touch the mixture before you’re ready to drink. Sodium bicarbonate also neutralises stomach acid which helps prevent an upset stomach, and supports kidney function to help your body hold onto water.
